Hi there! My name is Ana Granite and I am a software engineer and digital artist. I enjoy the intersections of art and technology, and I hope to use my skills to work on helpful and inspiring projects some day.
I recently graduated Bowling Green State University (BGSU) where I earned a BFA in Digital Arts and Minor in Computer Science. At BGSU, I was Vice President of the Computer Art Club and an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant who helped teach a C++ Programming Fundamentals course.
In Spring 2023, I had the incredible opportunity to work as a remote 3D Visualization Intern at NASA's Glenn Research Center (GRC) where I contributed to the GRC Communication Analysis Suite (GCAS) software, including 3D visualization tools for Lunar Communications Systems Analysis. My work involved an emphasis on lunar terrain mapping via 3D modeling techniques as I merged together multiple datasets through Blender. By doing so, we worked to aid in human landing site availability for future Artemis space exploration missions.
This Spring 2024, l returned to the GRC to work once again on the GCAS as a Software Engineer Intern. Currently, I work towards migrating the visualization component from JavaScript to a C++ based output using Vulkan API to prioritize optimizing rendering capabilities.
